Informing our community members about humane behavior, about ways of caring for companion-animals, and about the benefits of spaying/neutering are crucial parts of GVAWL’s Mission. Currently, we are working on a program for grade-school students, to be presented by volunteer high-school students, that will allow us to evaluate its effectiveness in influencing behaviors. Also, we plan to create a “speakers’ pool” from which local service organizations can draw for their programs.
Every event provides us with the opportunity to distribute informational materials and to talk to people about animal-welfare concerns.
